People ignore design that ignores people.”
— Frank Chimero

Jason's introduction to architecture began with a RIBA work experience competition to design a bird hide by the River Fal in Cornwall. Through this, he was introduced to the sensitivity of designing for the experience of people, as well as the impact a building can have on its surroundings. This inspired Jason to study architecture, at which he has completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Bath.

During this 4 year course, he undertook three placements at different practices located in Cornwall and Bath, where he was able to work on several projects through various design stages, whilst gaining experience in communication with clients and consultants. Having joined Apt in 2021, Jason has been involved in the development of a co-living residential scheme in London which aims to provide high-end accommodation for working professionals.

Despite being born and bred in Cornwall, Jason can not surf, although he enjoys cycling along the coastline. He is also a keen badminton player and loves to play the piano.
